Our product is quite different from bank, and the ability to set card limits is one of our key differentiators from regular bank cards.
Steps :
1. Login to Karbon dashboard
2. Click on the card number to see card limit
3. Click on the Card limit icon
4. Set monthly card spend limit ( Credit Limit field ) - Only available for Standard and Booster Cards
5. Set Transaction limit
6. Set Forex limit
7. Click Submit
Credit Limit field : Total allowed monthly spends of the card
This will act as a credit limit for your card. Let's say that you gave 10,000 credit limit to your team member, and your company credit limit is 1,00,000. In that case, the team member would be allowed to spend up to Rs. 10,000 every statement cycle ( typically a month ). He cannot spend more than 10,000 in a statement cycle even when you have available company's credit limit. Think of this way, you have a ton of money in your bank account but you set a limit to your son's card and he is not allowed to spend more than 10,000 every month.
Transaction Limit : A single card transaction limit of your team member's card
Let's say that you set a transaction limit of 10,000 and credit limit of 50,000. In that case, you cannot do a transaction of 20,000, as it exceeds transaction limit of 10,000 even though your credit limit is 50,000.
Forex Limit : A single card transaction limit in USD or another currency of your team member
Let's say that you set a forex limit of 10,000 and transaction limit of 20,000. In that case, you cannot do a transaction of 20,000 on a portal that accepts USD or another international currency, as it exceeds forex limit of 10,000. Unless specified otherwise, all transactions are INR.
If you are the owner of all company cards and you want to set card limits to your team member's card, then go Teams on your Dashboard, and select that card to change limits.
Steps:
1. Go to "teams" on your dashboard
2. Scroll down and select the name of the team member to set card limits
3. Select the card
4. Repeat the steps mentioned above
