What are merchant specific / special purpose cards ? How can I apply for it ?

The Merchant Specific cards were designed  to be tied to specific merchants or sellers. If you are looking for the cards to be used for subscriptions and to places where you will likely be purchasing products numerous times then you can apply for the merchant specific cards. 

We can provide 

Marketing-specific cards, where the transactions are allowed only on some marketing platforms ex- Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

Infra-specific cards, ex- AWS, Azure etc.

Let's say you want your marketing team to use the card to run ad campaigns on Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, etc. We will enable only these merchants to charge the card or to make the payment. 

We have issued a card to one of our clients where the transactions are allowed only on Google Ads and Google workspace. 

Benefits of the merchant - specific cards / special purpose cards

• This card can be used with some specific merchants.
• You can set a spending limit on the card. This makes it easier to track purchases or subscriptions per charge/month/ year.
• You are able to set a monthly spending limit and if the merchant tries to charge you for more than the limit is, it will decline and notify you.
• Label your card as per your convenience.
• This card can be used to manage subscriptions, ad campaigns, repeated purchases of the goods from the same merchants etc.

How to apply for the card ?

If you are new to Karbon kindly apply for the card first and once the card is issued drop us an email at support@karboncard.com to enable this feature for you. Please share the details of the merchants where you want to use the card. Either share an existing bank statement if you ever made any transaction on the merchant or do your first transactions on the merchant using Karbon card.
